SGSM emphasises corporate social responsibility and good corporate governance as values underpinning the teaching and practice of the disciplines of management. We work with local and regional communities and seek to add value to the community in a non-profit way. Offering a number of award sponsorships and scholarships is one strategy that SGSM embarks upon.

SGSM has developed a number of strategic alliances of mutual benefit, to which SGSM staff make significant contributions, including: Western Sydney Business Connection (WSBC), Office of Western Sydney (OWS), Greater Western Sydney Economic Development Board, Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, Hills Chamber of Commerce, Business Advisory Service Incorporated (BASI) and the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC).

SGSM prominent Board members and Council of Advice are also members of the Australian and Western Sydney business and education community.
